Hello Ronald, thanks for reaching out. It sounds like you are looking for a 7-way wiring harness for a 2005 Jeep Liberty. If so, we have just the thing.

If you already have the factory tow package, you can use the Tekonsha # 20135 to replace the OEM 7-way.

If you do not have the factory tow package, use the Curt T-Connector # C55382, along with the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7. These two kits combined contain everything needed to wire the vehicle with a 7-way, including all of the necessary wires for a brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195, which is what I recommend.

What I'm towing is a tent trailer with the round plug and I'm using the curt portable electric brake controller.

@Ronald Ok gotcha! In that case, use the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit # ETBC7L instead of the ETBC7. This kit was intended specifically for use with wireless brake controllers like the Curt Echo # C51180. There will be a good bit less wiring/install time with this kit. If you do not have the factory tow package, you will still need the Curt T-Connector # C55382 as well.
