The installation instructions for the CURT C29VV said that it mayinch be necessary to lower the exhaust, is there ever a situation where it would be necessary to do that on a 2024 Lexus RX350?

Yes, but that's just to get it installed the first time. I have linked the instructions below for the Curt Hitch item # C29VV. Step 2 covers this process and it's easier then it sounds. You just back out the muffler supports from the rubber hangers. It is recommended to prop the exhaust up while you're positioning the hitch. This will be the most difficult part of the install and you'll need an extra hand or two.
The Curt Hitch item # C29VV is custom fit and bolts to your 2024 Lexus RX350 with included hardware. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity and a 350 lbs maximum tongue weight.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # TK92KR and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
