Will The e29ZV Work On My 2025 Lexus RX 350 With Kick Sensor?

Does this model work for a 2025 Lexus RX 350 with kick sensor?

Yes! The etrailer hitch # e29ZV does fit your 2025 Lexus RX 350. What I have seen with kick sensors on vehicles, is that some work and some do not after the hitch is installed. Since the receiver sits right in the center where the kick sensor is you sometimes just have to move your fit to the left or the right of the receiver and it will work. In some cases it has blocked it and not allowed the sensor to work. It depends vehicle to vehicle, but we have not had a chance to try it on that vehicle and see if it works 100%.

What are you looking to use the hitch for?

Hi Nick, I have the same question regarding the kick sensor on my 2023 Lexus RX-350 Premium plus package. I want to use the hitch for a bike rack and occasionally tow a small utility trailer. Thanks

@Philip Kind of the same situation. We have seen vehicles not have an issue and some do. Since the sensor is in the center right where the hitch sits it most likely will have issues. What I have found is moving your foot to the left or the right of the receiver is able to access the sensor, but since the hitch sits where it is there is not a guarantee that it will work the same.

Our car is a 2025 Lexus RX350Hybrid. We have a light trailer for carrying our two single kayaks. We occasionally use a hitch mounted bike rack and carry two medium weight bikes. I've bought and installed Curt hitches for prior cars and they are very sturdy and well made. I am concerned the hitch might render the foot activated rear door inoperable. That'll be a no-go with my wife. Can you talk about or show pictures how you might have successfully relocated the door switch on this or prior Lexus installs?

@DavidP, I just installed this unit yesterday on my 2025 Lexus RX350 Premium+. The unit did render the foot activation inoperable. My wife got it to work one time, by waving her foot in the small opening directly above the hitch receiver, but only once. I can't even find the motion senser (but I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for).

@DavidP It sounds like you get out often! I can understand the no-go issue with that. We have installed the hitch before, but any sensor or door switches that need to be relocated need to be done by the dealership. With that said I am not entirely sure how or where they go since that is not something that we do. Typically the sensor from what I have hear is just moved to the left or the right, but again that would be something a Lexus dealer would need to do for you.
