Can More than One Sway Control Unit be Used on Trailer

Question:

Can you use attach two separate one on each side Curt sway control devices on the hitch at the same time for extra control? Is the hitch designed to handle this set-up? Will it cause any problems when towing? I will also need a way to adjust the hitch up and lower 3-6 inches to level my trailers. Thank You

Hey Richard, so yes you can use tow friction sway control units with the Sway Contol Platform part # BPH76RR. Typically the recommendation is that if the trailer weighs up to 6,000 lbs a single unit is fine but if between 6k and 10k you'll want a second one. The Curt unit is the part # 17200. To use it on the opposite side you would need to pull out the insert and rotate it 180 degrees and reinsert it.
