Hello Joe; the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR will fit your 2004 Dodge Ram. Realistically, any brake controller can fit any vehicle that has or installs 7-way wiring. I'm not the biggest fan of how our fitguide works for brake controllers but sometimes it says it does not fit if a custom wiring harness from that brand isn't available for installation.
If you do not have the factory tow package port for a brake controller you will need the Universal Wiring Harness # RED69FR for installation. If you do have the brake controller plug from the factory tow package you can use the # 3020-P along with the Redarc Tow-Pro Wiring Adapter for Tekonsha Brake Controller Harness # 331-TPH-017 for a plug and play installation.
