Hello Ken; what wiring harness are you trying to install? Do you have the factory tow package on your 2021 Ford Explorer? If you don't have the factory tow package there won't be a wiring connector at the rear of the vehicle. If you have the factory tow package there will be a plug behind the bumper that attaches to the # HM40975.

If you do not have the factory tow package you need to install the Curt 4-way # C56093 which plugs into the connection points in the rear cargo area as seen in the installation video below. Once that is installed you can use the # ETBC7, which is a universal kit, to upgrade to a 7-way.

Thanks Robin. I have figured that out. I have another dilemma though. I have no continuity from fuse to box to connector for the brake controller. Thanks, Ken

@Ken have you double checked the fuses? I'm assuming you have but I would start there. It could be bad or it could be missing. If the fuse is there and isn't blown the best I can say is to test the wire and work your way back to see if there is a short. If you still can't find the problem it is probably best to take it to the dealer.
