Will Thul T-Slot Adapter Fit Echelon Bike Rack to 2024 Honda Pilot and 2017 Honda CR-V Crossbars

Question:

I received a set of Thule 518 Echelon bike racks, but only have 2024 Honda Pilot and 2017 Honda CR-V factory crossbars. since it already has a load bar adapter for the rear to attach to a bar, can I just use a second load bar adapter for the front? Of note, I did receive a EVO wing bar crossbar, but no way to attach it to the factory roof rack systems. Any support would be great

The Thule Load Bar Adapter # THXADAPT9 will help with installing your Echelon 518 bike rack onto roof rack bars that have a T-Slot, like your Thule WingBar Evo crossbars.

What length are your Evo crossbars, and what rails do you have on your vehicles. If your Pilot has raised rails and your CR-V has flush rails I'll be able to recommend the lower parts of the roof rack so you can use the T-Slot mount kit.

Good evening, I appreciate you assisting me. I currently have a 2017 Honda CR-V and a 2024 Honda Pilot. Both with factory rails and factory crossbars. I received this whole set from a family member. Came off a 2011 Lincoln MKX. I think they had 480r footpack, 2 - Wingbar Evo bars, both 55 inches (tip to tip including plastic end cap), 2 - 518 Echelon Bike Racks, and 2 - front wheel holders. I was really hoping I could just use the 518 Echelon bike racks and front wheel holders with my factory crossbars…..is this possible at all?

@Dv The Echelon 518 bike rack was discontinued but from what I'm seeing it came with mounting hardware that would only fit older style square or round crossbars - the adapter kit we're talking about was developed to allow it to fit in the T-Slots of roof racks, but OEM crossbars typically don't have those. You're more than welcome to check the factory racks you have but I'm pretty sure you'll find that the bike racks won't be compatible. Your 55" crossbars might work for either vehicle, but you'll need to lay them across your vehicles to see if the slot in the underside of the crossbars will match up with the rails on your vehicles. If they do then you'll need the following parts for your vehicles: 2017 Honda CR-V - Evo Flush Rail Feet # TH710601 - Fit Kit # TH37KE 2024 Honda Pilot - Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401

@JonG Good Evening, Please accept my apologies……but I actually have a Aeroblade crossbars, not the Wingbar Evo. Part number ARB53 Does that change what foot packs I would need? Again, sorry DV

@Dv No worries! The AeroBlade crossbars will fit with the Evo feet so you won't need to get new crossbars.
