Adapter Recommendation for Thule Echelon Bike Rack to Fit on Aero Shaped Crossbars

Question:
Hello there, I have Thule Echelon 518 bike rack and I just purchased cross racks that are 2 inches in diameter. This means I cannot attach the front of the rack to the crossbars. I noticed that you have the Thule Adapter Kit Xadapt9: would this work for my situation? Or should I try an alternative option. Attached are photos: one of them is the attachment U-bolt next to the cross rack that unfortunately is not an Aeroblade so there is no groove and the other is a picture of the head assembly so you can see how it looks. Hopefully we can solve this situation!
