Hello Mark; the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BO94FR is the same as the BX1742. You can actually see that part number listed below the description on the product page. We just use # BO94FR as our part number. This is confirmed to fit your 2017 GMC Sierra 1500. For a complete setup you will also need a tow bar, safety cables, wiring, and a supplemental braking system. I recommend the following:
-Blue Ox Ascent Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX4370 (Includes safety cables)
-Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
-Roadmaster Battery Disconnect with Switch # RM-766 (One disconnect is needed for each starter battery)
-Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes # SM99251

Robin, Thank you for the information. I already have a Blue Ox Tow bar and a 7-wire to 6-wire Flexo-coil. I had all this for my previous truck I towed. I just need to rig this truck to be towed so is there a kit without the flexo-coil and only the wiring, diodes and the connector to go on the truck?
