I did some research on your 2012 Tiffin Allegro Bus 43 QGP Motorhome and I found that the best brake controller to be the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller item # RED24FR. The Tow-Pro is a proportional brake controller that slows your trailer down based on the deceleration of your motorhome. There is no time delay. One of the best features of this controller is that the main unit plugs in behind your console completely hidden from view. The control knob mounts on the dash or another easily accessible area.
Based on the information you gave me and what I could get from Redarc you have two options for wiring adapters. The first is if you have the tow package on your motorhome. You will need the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers item # RED87FR. If you do not have the tow package you will need the Universal Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers item # RED69FR.
We have a couple of other mounting options for the control knob that can go inside inserts in your dash. This will give you a clean factory look install. The Universal Mounting Panel for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controller Control Knob item # 331-TPSI-001 which measures 1-1/4 by 1 inch. There is also the option of using the Mounting Panel for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controller Control Knob item # 331-TPSI-002 for the more standard knock-out measuring 1-1/4 by 7/8 inch. I have linked a couple diagrams to show you the dimensions of these mounts.
