I was wondering if I use a hitch adapter 1 1/4 in to 2 inch 6 inch rise will the 300 lb tongue limit go down Thanks

Yes Ron. Anytime an adapter like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter # C45785 will cut your tongue weight in half. If you're talking about using two adapters, then that's absolutely a no-go because you'd create two points of failure which is pretty unsafe.
