Many tow systems require some sort of hitch accessory to either raise or lower your tow bar so that it sits level. To determine if your setup needs an adapter, hook the tow bar up to your rv and towed car and measure to see how close to level it is. The "safe zone" for a motor-home-mounted tow bar ranges from 3 inches above level to 3 inches below. Not what I thought I was ordering. This has 2 open ends. Only wanted the 2 inch open end.

There was a seven inch difference in height from the motor home to the towed vehicle. The Curt High-Low Adapter is just the right product to raise my tow bar. Now it is nearly level and well within the three inches high or low to meet the base plate on the towed vehicle. It is heavy with a nice finish and should give years of use.

Used the 2" Curt adapter with a 6" drop on the back of a Winnebago View to level out the two bar used to tow a Buick Envision. Worked great for the past 12,000+ miles.
I searched around a lot for this drop hitch. E-tailer definitely had the best value. Looks like a solid quality product. Very quick delivery. Overall very satisfied with the company and the product.
This product did not work for me. I have a Honda CRV that I tow behind a Fleetwood Bounder and after using once it was clear that the 6 inch drop was not enough to level out the tow bar. So I searched the internet and found a 9 inch drop which allows the tow bar to be level behind the Bounder. Because the 6 inch drop adapter had been used and the finish scratched up I was then unable to return it to etrailer. Measure carefully before you buy.
It looks like a double hitch receiver but it's a single I returned it. Cost me 27 bucks and I decided to buy a roadmaster instead.

The holes are not drilled correctly and my hitch pin does not go through. My Blue Ox adaptor works fine but is 10” and I need a 6” for a different Toad. This is the second Curt adaptor to have this issue.

I bought a new SUV with a hitch that is 6 inches higher than the one on my car. I use it for a bike rack which made it way too high for me to install the rack or the bike. This adapter lowered it to a perfect hight.

It felt rock solid. I will use it with the Benton Basic Cargo Hauler. When once inserted the amount of back and forth play was about the same as only using the cars hitch. All the play is in the factory hitch.
This is the perfect hi/low adapter for my motorcycle hitch mounted carrier! Hitch works great. It is on the back of my trailer and keeps my bike rack from bottoming out.
