Hey Robert,

At that weight you would either need to change out the pin box to a gooseneck style pin box and tow use the gooseneck hitch ball or remove the Turnoverball hitch and install base rails to use a higher capacity. If you want to go the gooseneck route then you'll want a Gen-Y torsion pin box to help absorb road shock/vibration. I'll need to know the bolt pattern for your current pin box before I can pick out the correct replacement. There should be a white sticker that lists an RPO, Serial, and LCI Item # that I can use to look up the bolt pattern.

If you don't want to gooseneck tow then you'll need to remove the Turnoverball hitch and install base rails like the Curt # C26ZV and then use the Curt PowerRide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C22ER. This hitch has a 30,000lb capacity and would be the only option currently available to handle that amount of weight.

Personally, I would just swap out the pin box and gooseneck tow to make things easier and give you a clear bed when not towing.

Hey Robert, how did things turn out with your towing setup for the Riverstone 425FO? Did you end up switching to the gooseneck pin box or going with the Curt PowerRide hitch and base rails? Your update could make it easier for others towing heavy fifth wheels.
