In the description of this listing it states that it can only be used the drop position. Is this correct or can it also be use it in the lift position?

Hello Jose,

It is indeed true that the Curt Pintle Hook Mounting Plate # C48343 can only be used in the drop position; it cannot be used in the rise position. There is a similar, 8-hole pintle hook mounting plate which CAN be used in the rise position if you like, the B&W Pintle Hook Mounting Plate # BWPMHD14002.

You can secure this to your hitch using lock # e98880.

Hey Jose, did you end up going with the B&W pintle hook mounting plate that works in the rise position? Knowing how it performed could help others deciding between the two options.

@LazerS I went with B&W pintle hook and use it strictly in the rise position. On accident, I’ve had my dump trailer loaded over 16k and haven’t had a single issue with it. Highly recommend if you only need a few inches of rise.
