Can Curt Pintle Hook Mounting Plate Only be Used in Drop Position

In the description of this listing it states that it can only be used the drop position. Is this correct or can it also be use it in the lift position?

Hello Jose,
It is indeed true that the Curt Pintle Hook Mounting Plate # C48343 can only be used in the drop position; it cannot be used in the rise position. There is a similar, 8-hole pintle hook mounting plate which CAN be used in the rise position if you like, the B&W Pintle Hook Mounting Plate # BWPMHD14002.
You can secure this to your hitch using lock # e98880.
