Do I Have to Run a Power Line to Install the Curt Wiring Harness C27BR?

if I do not plan to use trailer brakes do I still need to run a power line to the battery?

Yes, you will. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C27BR only controls your trailer's lighting functions. It needs a direct power line to your 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L's battery to work.
