Question:
I have a 1983 SandH Single axle horse trailer that I am wanting to add electric brakes to. The previous owner changed the axle, there is no tag or markings on the axle, I do not know the weight rating, I’m guessing it’s an 8,000 pound axle. The axle tube is 3.5” in diameter and it has a 4- bolt flange for the brake backing plate to bolt to. The trailer currently has brake drums on it but no brakes or backing plate. The drums are 12” x 2.5” and 8x6.5 wheel stud pattern. I will need two new drums because the drums I have are mismatched- larger diameter studs on one side than the other. As well as brakes. Don’t know if this will help- the inner bearing is a vnc 25580 and the outer bearing is a vnc 14125A. Thank you!

Hey Cory, thanks for all of the information!
I believe what you're needing are the Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes # 23-105-106-09 and the Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-865-7-2-EZ-K.
The brakes have a 4-bolt mounting pattern that I'll need you to verify matches what you have (see attached photo), and then the hub drum has the matching bearings that you pointed out.
I'm not sure if what all you have on your trailer, but I'm linking an article that goes over everything you need to add electric brakes to a trailer for your reference.
