This Dexter hub-and-drum assembly gives you solid braking performance you can count on. Built for 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb axles with #42 spindles, it’s made from sturdy iron and provides the surface area your brake shoes need for strong, consistent grip. The 12" diameter x 2" wide drum works with 12" electric or hydraulic brakes, and each hub carries a 3,500-lb weight capacity for balanced strength across your setup.
When you’re swapping out old or worn hubs, having the right bearing setup makes all the difference. This assembly uses the common heavy-duty pair—inner bearing 25580 (1.75" inner diameter) and outer bearing 14125A (1.25" inner diameter)—along with matching races and a GS-2250DL grease seal (2.25" I.D. / 3.376" O.D.). That means quick, confident installation on standard #42 spindles without hunting down extra parts.
Everything you need to mount and finish the job is in the box. Each assembly includes the bearings, races, grease seal, grease cap, wheel bolts, and 1/2"-diameter lug nuts. Just pack it with your preferred grease, slide it on, and torque it down. The 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern matches common heavy-duty trailer wheels with pilot holes 4-3/4" or larger, so you get straightforward fitment and secure wheel seating.
Dexter’s iron construction gives this hub and drum lasting reliability under load and heat. The machining keeps the drum round and true, helping your brakes stay smooth and even mile after mile. It’s a practical, proven design for anyone refreshing, upgrading, or keeping a dependable trailer rolling.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Beautiful Dexter hubs to replace ones that were worn out. working wonderfully and everything. only problem was shipping was 3 days late even after I paid for expedited shipping
Item was shipped and delivered very quickly. Shipping container was damaged, but items were fine. Top quality product at a Great Price. 4 stars because shipping container was to big for heavy drums. Drums were able to move freely. Corner of box had a large tear in it (open). Nothing fell out of container, drums had some rub wear marks. Thanks for the fast shipment and quality product.

not only am i happy with the product purchased but with the service from etrailer i had to return some parts and they were fantastic to deal with. I would purchase from them again for sure
new dexter wheel hubs, delivered on time, new dust caps, new seals (2 1/4") , new lugs and nuts , new bearings. one bearing is the wrong size, but I dont care will pick up locally. these were backordered for most places in western NY, got em just as fast and far better price. will be ordering more soon. currently servicing 6 trailers with this or similar hub.
What can I say name brand quality never need to adjust trailer brakes why would you buy anything else. Braking is much more balanced and dependable.
Received three out of four in great shape. The fourth had damaged parts inside but etrailer sent me new parts. Used these to change from UTG to regular rims. Tire changes so much easier. I always recommend etrailer.

Dexter hubs are a perfect fit to Dexter brake assemblies. Perfect fit and brake good. Self adjustors keep the trailer brakes always adjusted correctly.
Drums are machined round and true, not like willfit drums which have to be turned
