Question:
Logan LQ horse trailer with 16” wheels. Looking to replace breaks and drums. Would like to go with automatic adjust. Dexter axels with I believe to be 12x2 breaks. What would you suggest?

For a 12" x 2" hub and drum, there are a couple of options for self-adjusting electric brakes, depending on if your Dexter axle is rated for 6,000 lbs or 7,000 lbs:
- 6,000 lbs: Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-458-459
- 7,000 lbs: Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-464-465
For the installation you will also need the Mounting Bolts and Hardware for 12" Brake Assemblies # BRKH12.
As for the hub and drum (just the drum, alone, is not sold separately), for a 6k or 7k Dexter axle the correct replacement is likely the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb Axles - 12" Diameter - 8 on 6-1/2 # 42866UC3.
This hub and drum uses inner bearing 25580 (1.75" inner diameter), outer bearing 14125A (1.25" inner diameter), and a grease seal with a 2.25" inner diameter; it also has an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern so you will want to verify that is what you have. If not, we can find the right one if you let me know the bearing numbers your current hub has.
