Parts Needed To Convert M1101 Military Trailer To Electric Drum Brakes
Question:
Im looking to replace the surge brake system on my 1997 M1101 trailer. Can you tell me which electric brakes and drums I need? Do you offer a self adjusting electric brake with a parking brake? Thank you.

Currently Dexter only offers either the Self-Adjusting Brakes # 23-464-465 or Brakes With Parking Brake # 23-112-113 which will fit your 1997 M1101 trailer. Both of these are sets of brakes for the left and right while the Drum # 42866UC3 is offered as a single unit so you will need to order 2 of the drums. The drum will include the bearings, races, grease seal, cap and lug nuts for a 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern.
You will likely need the Dexter Breakaway and Parking Kit # T2385200 should you opt for the parking brake assemblies. And if you need any help selecting a new coupler please let me know what type of connection you prefer and the width and height of your tongue so I can help you determine the best solution for replacing your coupler.

Also do you have a drum that would fit on this brake set with a 6X5.5 bolt pattern?
