Question:

2022 ram 3500 crew cab truck. 6 ft bed. I have factory side steps that extend past the cab and run under part of the bed. Looking for frame mounted brackets without having to take the side boards off. Does torklift make these brackets? Last time i checked, they only had the frame mounts that were for trucks without steps. Looking for part numbers so i can get my camper on my new truck. My 2018 brackets for a ram 3500 dont fit. Thanks for any info.

Hey Dan,

TorkLift unfortunately doesn't have a fit for models with running boards that extend under the cab so you would either need to remove the running boards or switch to the HappiJac Camper Tie-Downs # LC236326-205221 instead. If you remove the running boards then you would need the TorkLift # TLD2141 and # TLD3112.

What is the cheapest way to go if i only need to travel less than two hours to the nearest rv dealer to trade this truck camper in? I really liked the frame mounted truck camper brackets on my 2018 ram, just not a fan of taking off my nerf bars whenever i what to load my truck. Thanks for getting back to me so quick. Might go back to a travel trailer and then we can talk about trailer hitches. Thanks again.

@DanL The cheapest option would be to use the Brophy Slide In Camper Tie-Downs # HSAB, which mount into the stake pockets. I've attached a diagram above of their dimensions so you can go measure your bed rails to ensure these won't rub and damage the bed. The turnbuckles for these can be purchased with part # TDHP.
