Question:

Hi, I need a simple hitch for my 2019 BMW X3. I see diff models for the S drive model and the M40 model - but they all look the same. In fact the eStealth and Curt hitches are shown separately for Sdrive and M40, but the same hitch part is used for both car models. If the same hitch model works for both car models, I have to believe the eTrailer model stated for Sdrive only would work on my M40. Can you tell me what if any differences you see between the 2 car models? Thx, Greg

Hello Greg,

I cannot personally see any difference between the M40i and sDrive for the 2019 BMW X3. We haven't done an install on the M40i, so I can't say for sure what the difference would be regarding the # C99RV hitch and # SH46FR for install. It looks like both would work for the M40i, but the best I can do is go by what Curt says, which is that their hitch won't work for the M40i, so I can't recommend going that route.
