Fit and Function is great. Simple install following the instructions. Using it to haul 1 Type 3 e-bikes.

Fun note installed this on our 2016 BMW X3, 2nd trip out with it blew an oil pump and thus engine damaged. Bought a 2024 BMW x3 and installed this Hitch again. Another 2000 miles hauling these e-bikes around the west and no issues or worries.

Will Curt 2025 BMW X3 30 Hitch Prevent Foot Sensor From Activating Tailgate?
Hey Harry, thanks for reaching out! We haven't heard any reports on whether or not the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C99RV will get in the way of the sensors, but since the crossmember for the hitch sits up higher, it shouldn't sit between the sensors and where your foot will swipe under the bumper. The receiver itself might make it slightly harder to pick up your foot, but if you kick your foot in a forward-to-backwards motion (like you're kicking a ball) the sensor should be able to...

Hello Ranieri, thanks for reaching out. You are on the right track here. The Curt Trailer Hitch # C99RV will indeed fit your 2026 BMW X3 M50 with the M Sport package. I was able to confirm this with Curt - it will install normally and properly on that model. Installation will require temporary removal of the bumper, and a section of the bumper and underbody panel will need to be trimmed. You'll also need a rivet gun to reinstall the rivets in the wheel well. Replacement rivets are included...

Trailer Hitch and Active Wiring Harness for 2019 BMW X4 xDrive40i
Hi Vince; for a hitch you can use the Curt # C99RV. If you would prefer a completely hidden design like the Stealth Hitch you were looking at then the correct one is the # SH75VR. The Stealth Hitch comes with the towing kit that has the required ball mount, safety chain looks, and your standard wiring. As far as I know, none of the aftermarket wiring will be "Active" and able to interact with your towing mode on the BMW. I would reach out to your local dealer to see if this is possible....

Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2024 BMW X3 With Aerodynamic Body Kit
Hi John; it looks like the aerodynamic body kit is part of the M-Sport package on the 2024 BMW X3. If you want a standard hitch you can use the Curt # C99RV. This has a concealed cross tube but the receiver will still be visible at the rear of the vehicle. If you want a completely hidden hitch with a removable receiver you can use the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # SH46FR or # SH62VR if you want it with the towing kit.

Hi Racheal! The Curt hitch # C13316 you purchased back in 2020 will only fit a 2011 to 2017 BMW X3, unfortunately. For your new 2024 X3 (congrats by the way!), you will need the Curt # C99RV. What will you be using the hitch for on your new Beemer?

Do I See Difference Beteween 2019 BMW X3 M40 & sDrive For Hitch
Hello Greg, I cannot personally see any difference between the M40i and sDrive for the 2019 BMW X3. We haven't done an install on the M40i, so I can't say for sure what the difference would be regarding the # C99RV hitch and # SH46FR for install. It looks like both would work for the M40i, but the best I can do is go by what Curt says, which is that their hitch won't work for the M40i, so I can't recommend going that route.
