Great Quality! Fast Delivery! Just what I needed.

by:

Hitch arrived fast. No problems installing. Fit great. Thanks

by:

showed us in a couple of days. watched the video on the website and it only took 1 hour to install as they stated. thank you for great service.

by:

Challenge to install.Plan on taking a 1/2 day to install; fantastic quality product. Solid piece of workmaship.

by:

Very nice looking!Fast delivery good looking a little clearance problem with aftermarket exhaust system but i will work on it.

by:

I just received the hitch and wiring harness today and haven't installed it yet. However, the product looks very good and the online instructions are very inclusive. it should be easy to install when I get time in a few days.

by:

Great product .. Installed just as described. Smoking good price and rocket fast shipping !!

by:

I just received my part # 11437 and by the way it looks , I don't think is going to be a problem! very satisfied by the quality and I am very big fan of products made in the USA.
as far as installation goes , I saw the video and is not going to be a big deal installing !

by:

Great product! Easy install!I ordered this hitch last week and installed it today. Everything went smooth. I didn't even trim my heat shield i just pressed it up against the hitch bolts. I'm going to be pulling a 1000lb trailer loaded weight. About 2000 miles so i guess we will see if it holds up.

by:

Beautiful finish, solid piece Great hitch but could use an additional 1/8" of clearance in the mounting holes. Somewhat of a battle getting it all lined up and the extra room would have made a big difference. Still, as good as any I've had experience with and better than most. Mounting hardware and threading wires are a winner. Great value.

Great product, great support, great delivery. T tou,

2012 Honda Civic

Love the hitch on my 2012 Honda Civic Coupe SI but the instructions could have been a little more clear. I have the under plate which had to be cut but there is no template, nothing. It just said if you have it remove it but then what? Plus the heat shield had to be cut and that could also use a template to make it easier so that you don't cut more than you have to. Have purchased a hitch for my 2009 Honda Civic 4dr and that one was a piece of cake to put on compared to this one, it took over 4 hours where the other one was on hour. But one thing I do have to say, I like how it looks, you can barely see you have a hitch.

by:

Was able to install in a couple of hours with the car up on jack-stands. Definitely recommend a second person, but instructions were clear (video instructions were super helpful) and install wasn't too difficult!

One year in and its been excellent! Bought a compatible bike rack the same day I installed the hitch and used it all summer without issues. Already have the rack all loaded and ready for this year!

2015 Honda Civic

I’m giving this 5 stars with one condition: E trailer should review the diagram showing where to cut the trim pieces underneath the car.
The videos on the website were a huge help, and I strongly recommend that anyone buying this product watch the full video before starting the installation.
The hardest part of the process was moving the exhaust out of the way enough to get proper clearance. I was able to install the hitch receiver in about an hour.
As mentioned, the diagram shows where to cut the plastic trim but does not clearly cover the heat shield. I was able to figure that part out by watching the video.

Overall the product is well made seems sturdy and comes with good weather resistant hardware.

I also purchased the matching wiring harness. The wiring harness was super simple to install its literally just plugging in connecters its hard to mess up because the connectors for brake and blinker lights are different sizes which helps

by:

Fits great works great. The installation instructions are not so great. Pictures on instructions are terrible. Thank goodness for YouTube!

by:

Easy install, use all my hitch all the time. Fit my 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid. I get to keep good mileage and tow stuff! thanks, etrailer.com

2015 Acura ILX

Very nice quality hitch, I had the same one on my previous car. Installation isn't too bad, it helps having another person to tighten the bolts while you hold the hitch up to the car. The exhaust hanger is difficult to get back on when installing on an ILX, it wasn't as bad on my Civic

by:
Honda Civic

Fits on the Honda Civic it was designed for. Installation could have better illustrations for the heat shield over the exhaust cut outs. Also, for fishing the bolts with locking plate a note to go slightly past the hole and then back again to account for bolt rotation clearance in the frame.

toyota Tacoma

This is the first time I have ever attemped to mount a hitch! My Tacoma came with one already installed. The packaging was heavy duty! The hitch is very well made! It fit perfectly. The instructions are simple, yet very informative with clear pictures to aid your understanding. They really helped me! The fishwires are a priceless addition that makes the job so much easier! I haven't pulled a trailer yet, but I see no reason to expect any issues.

by:
2008 Honda Civic

This is the 4th hitch I’ve installed bought from etrailer.com for the purpose of using hitch mounted bike racks. They were all pretty easy to do after watching the video and reading the provided instructions.

by:

Hitch arrived in a timely fashion. Installation was a breeze and the fit and finish were perfect. Wiring harness hooked up perfectly. etrailer made the whole process simple. I just ordered another hitch and harness for our new car.

by:
2009 Honda Civic

good enough to make it my first purchase review. installed on my 09 civic si. For those frustrated with the written instructions, the video on how to install is thorough and easy to follow, etrailer went the extra step to supply exactly what is needed to install and installation is extremely easy, a simple socket socket and a tin snips is all you need. i was able to install myself without lifting the car at all. the plug and play wiring harness that is sold separate. was simple and works well to pull my boat trailer. Have recommended this product to others

2015 Honda Civic

A few parts were missing when I received my order. I had to cut and weld to make a piece that was missing and buy a few nuts that were missing. The hitch it's self is fine. Install took many hours due to missing parts.

by:

Pretty easy install!

by:
2013 Honda Civic

Let me start off by saying that this is an excellent product. Installation was a breeze and it was a complete bolt on. No modifications was needed.

I have a 2013 Honda Civic Si Coupe and the only issue I ran into during the install was the hitch hitting the exhaust hanger for the rear muffler. The only reason this happened was because I have an aftermarket exhaust system and I am using polyurethane exhaust hangers. These hangers are thicker than OEM. It still bolted right up with alittle tweaking. I also left the rear splash panel and heat shield off for now. If your running a stock exhaust hanger, you will not run into the issue I did. So don't let that steer you away, lol.

Overall welds are great, and the construction is perfect. I would recommend this kit to anyone.

  • Need Replacement U-Bolt For Curt Trailer Hitch
Hello Frederic. The Curt hitch for the 2022 Kia Seltos # C65FR does not come with a U-bolt. Are you referring to a different hitch perhaps? I see that you were looking at the # C11391 hitch on our site which is for the 2006-2015 Honda Civic. This hitch does use a U-bolt to connect to the tow loop. The U-bolt is 8 - 16 x 1.00 x 1.88. Unfortunately, we do not carry these individually. It is possible to get one by getting a complete hardware kit with part # RHK, of you just provide the manufacturer...

  • Trailer Wiring Harness for 2012 Honda Civic
To install a trailer wiring harness on your 2012 Honda Civic, all you'll need is the Tekonsha # 118420. You won't need the # 55151 wiring kit, as the # 118420 draws all the power it needs through the vehicle's taillight circuits. The Curt # C11391 hitch you'd looked at is a confirmed fit for your vehicle. You'll also need a ball mount like # 3593, a # PC2 hitch pin and # 19256 for a 1-7/8 or # 19258 for a 2 inch trailer ball. • Why Does Curt Require Support Straps on their Hitch Receivers
I have spoke with my contact at Curt numerous times regarding the requirement of the stabilizing/support strap, # 18050. Curt requires this strap in order to alleviate the leveraging affect that a non-trailer load places on a hitch like part # C11391. At Curt they like to use the example of carrying a gallon of milk. Think of the strain that would be put on your arm if it is extended opposed to if you carry the milk close to your body. This is what also happens with a hitch when a bike...

  • Choosing a Ball Mount with Enough Rise to Tow a Trailer Level with a 2014 Honda Civic Sedan
Yes, that makes perfect sense. What you are talking about is rise and drop. If the vehicle hitch is lower than the trailer coupler with the trailer level then you will need a ball mount with a rise to compensate. If the vehicle was higher the ball mount would need to have a drop. To figure out the rise you will need you can use the trailer jack to make the trailer level then measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler. Then you would compare that to the hitch measurement taken...

  • Recommended Hitch Receiver for 2015 Honda Civic Towing Jet Ski Trailer
Yes, the Curt # C11391 would work, but there are some other factors that really make the EcoHitch a much better option. First, considering you've got a 2015 Honda Civic, ground clearance is going to be an issue since both the cross tube and receiver will sit below the bumper, making it much more prone to bottoming out. Because the EcoHitch # 306-X7235 has a concealed cross tube that mounts behind the bumper, it's going to give you some extra ground clearance that's going to be extremely...
