Question:

Hi, I need help speccing a suspension setup for a car hauler. Its tandem 3500lb axles installing your E95SR axles, I was planning on using your APT3 hanger kit and CE23002 U-bolt kit. Is this correct? If so, what springs should i use? Thanks, Andy

Andy, while I do like your Axle # e95SR and U-Bolt Kit # CE23002 selection of which you will need 2 of each I do have another recommendation for the suspension kit. The Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit # APT3 you found has longer equalizers designed for a 35" spacing used on larger axles. Also I do not like the shackle straps it comes with either as they are a thin steel and over time the holes will likely start to elongate. Instead you should use the Dexter Heavy-Duty Suspension Kit # K71-359-00 with 6 of the Hangers # 115918. The suspension will then also have the benefit of greased bolts which will provide better suspension travel for the components. You will want to pair these with four of the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Springs # e97SR.
