Question:

I installed the Draw-Tite 75540 hitch receiver on my 2020 Lexus RX350 and it’s great. I also installed the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector ITEM 56083 and plugged it into the Lexus provided plug under the driver side rear bumper. However, there is no power to the wiring harness. I was under the understanding that if the driver side rear bumper plug existed, that means I have the factory installed tow package. Can you help me understand why the wiring harness is not getting any power? Thanks.

Hey Shane, for your 2020 Lexus RX 350 that didn't have a factory hitch the trailer wiring that you honestly should have gone with is the part # C56217 which is for the versions of the vehicle that don't have the tow package. While your vehicle has the connector it's not active which is why it's not working as-is. Maybe Lexus dealer could activate the wiring harness but we don't have any info on that.
