Hi Mark,
We can definitely get your 2023 Ford F-350 set up to be flat towed behind your motorhome, and I'll go ahead and list out all the parts needed for you to make it easy to order.
- Base Plate Kit: Demco Classic Base Plate Kit # DM68FR
- Tow Bar: Demco Excali-Bar III Non-Binding Tow Bar # DM9511013
- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
- Supplemental Braking System - Motorhome with HYDRAULIC BRAKES: Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR
OR
- Supplemental Braking System - Motorhome with AIR BRAKES: Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System # DM26VR
- Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Wire Kit for Demco Supplemental Braking Systems # DM66VR
Starting with the base plates, the Demco are nice as they mount right where the tow hooks are so they help your Ford keep its aesthetic; I have added a photo a customer was nice enough to send in that shows these base plates installed so you can see how they'd look on your truck.
The Excali-Bar III is great because of its strength, having a weight capacity of 10,500 lbs, which is more than most tow bars and the best option for a heavy-duty truck like your F-350. Aside from that it has a long reach, which means your F-350 is going to track better behind your motorhome and give you a better turn radius than a shorter tow bar.
I like the diode wiring kit because it will prevent any type of electrical feedback to keep your truck's electrical system safe, and the Demco braking systems are easily the best because they gives you braking proportional to that of your motorhome. So when you hit the brakes on your motorhome, your truck is going to get the same amount of braking power. And finally, the battery charge line will keep your battery charged at all times, even on long journeys.
