Tongue Weight Capacity of 2018 Chevy Equinox With Curt Trailer Hitch

So I have a challenging question, or at least I cant find the answer. I have a 2018 Chevy Equinox with 2.0L engine, 3500lbs towing capacity. Id like to know what the maximum tongue weight can be? 10 is 350lbs, 15 is 525lbs, but Im not sure if the hitch is rated for 15 525lbs.

The tongue weight capacity of your 2018 Chevy Equinox with the 2.0L engine is limited to 15 percent of its 3,500 lb towing capacity, so 525 lbs. So even though the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C77FR, for example, that fits your vehicle has a 4,500 lb towing and 675 lb towing capacity you're limited to lower-rated factory numbers.
