Which hitch has the best clearance for a 2026 Equinox EV? Curt or Draw Tite?

Hello Hannah, thanks for reaching out. Between those two hitches for the 2026 Equinox EV, the Draw-Tite # DT66KV has the best ground clearance. The crosstube for the hitch sits slightly higher compared to the Curt. With the Draw-Tite hitch it will be about 12-1/2" measured from the ground to the top inside edge of the receiver. The bottom edge of the receiver will be about 10-1/2" from the ground.

What do you plan to use the hitch for? Towing a trailer? Or a bike rack?

Thank you! Mostly bike rack, but I may want to tow occasionally. Does that impact the selection or the clearance?

@Hannah Ok cool! The hitch selection would be the same. The Draw-Tite hitch will be more concealed behind the bumper, so it will have a more factory look compared to the Curt. Installation is more difficult, but it will look better. it does look like the Draw-Tite hitch will be out of stock for about a month, if that is a factor in your decision.. Generally the best ground clearance is always the best choice. I am not sure what trailer you would be pulling but you will likely need a ball mount with a few inches of rise like 4" ish. But again that is dependent on the trailer coupler height. If you intend to tow a trailer you will also need a wiring harness. If your Equinox EV has the factory tow package, you have a plug and play option part # C44FR. If you do not have the tow package, you can add trailer wiring but it will have to be hardwired in. You can do this using part # C59236. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help!
