Do Amber Lights of Hollywood Racks Bike Rack Taillight Kit HLY54RR Light up With Brake Lights

Question:

Vehicle: 2021 GMC 2500HD Denali with towing/trailering package I recently purchased the HLY54RR, and was testing it today, and here is what I observed: - I plugged in the 4-pin tester to the 7-way round, and plugged the 7-way round into the connector on the back of the GMC. I observed the 3 green lights on the tester were blinking together whether I pressed the brake, or either turn signal. - I disconnected the 4-pin tester, and connected the 4-pin with the light bar to the 7-way round connector on the GMC. I observed the following: - Left turn signal - blinking Amber on the driver side of the light bar - Right turn signal - blinking Amber on the passenger side of the light bar - Emergency flashers - blinking Amber on both sides of the light bar - Running lights - it appears as bright red on the light bar whether I have just the running lights or the headlights on. - Brake lights - it appears as all Amber on the light bar when applying the brake. Based on what I am observing for the Running lights and the Brake lights, is there anything else to try, or do I need to return the light bar? Would the part #TR20141 help? I am not getting any abnormal warnings or indicators on the dashboard of the GMC, so as far as I can tell, the GMC thinks all is OK.

Due to the limits of trailer taillight wiring circuits your Hollywod Racks Safety LED light bar part # HLY54RR is functioning properly. The turn signals and the stoplights are all on the same circuit so the lights are going to all light up when you hit the brakes. The part # TR20141 is not an adapter designed to fix this situation so it would not work for you.
