For your 2018 GMC Terrain with the 1.5L Engine I recommend going with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76419. This is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver with a 4,500 lbs Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) rating and a 675 lb Tongue Weight (TW) rating.

It is the perfect trailer hitch for many different applications but you will want to check your owner's manual to verify what weight capacities yor Terrain has.
