Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid With Hands Free Liftgate

Question:
I have a 2024 CRV Hybrid. I want to put a 2” trailer hitch on it for my bike rack. All options I see say the hitch will interfere with the auto tail gate function. Any recommended options? Thanks for your help. John

John, the hands free liftgate function will still work even with a trailer hitch like the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7345 installed, it'll just block the center sensors. You should still be able to wave your foot on either side of the receiver to activate the side sensors which will open the liftgate like normal.
