Question:
Trying to add a superhitch to a 2008 dodge ram mega cab. Bought super hitch but the factory reciever on truck has rounded edges that below reciever. Need flat bottom to mount super hitch too otherwise to big of gap. Flat reciever should take 3 bolts.

Are you sure you have the welded on factory hitch? If a hitch like the Curt # 13333 was bolted on at some point that would explain the issue. The factory hitch should look like the one in the picture below which is from our installation of the # TLD1102 on a 2008 Ram like yours.
The plates where it bolts together shouldn't have a gap when it is tightened down but there will be a gap between the receiver tubes since they come together at the collar around the opening. If you're still sure you have the factory hitch go ahead and send me some pictures. I can reach out to TorkLift and see if they have come across this before to help you complete the installation.
