Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer.com. Who's ready to tow. That's right, the tow Smart Trailer Hitch Receiver. It's a custom fit class three two inch trailer hitch. Now folks, this is gonna fit a lot of the different Dodge Rams and the Ram 1500, both the classic and also the 25 and 3,500 without factory hitches.
But make sure you're checking our fit guide in your year, make and model. Make sure you're getting the right one to fit your specific needs. If you're not sure about the fit, go ahead and call us. We'll be more than happy to assist you with that. With 600 pounds of tongue weights, very impressive.
It's gonna support multi bike racks, electric bike racks, heavy cargo carriers, those kind of things. And you can even tow a max gross trailer weight of 6,000 pounds with this, again, a two inch receiver tube. I've laid everything out that you're gonna get as far as hardware. This big bolt here will come down and screw into the top here. I just wanted to put it up there to kind of show you where it's going.
You're gonna get a set of instructions. There's no drilling whatsoever required. It's a simple bolt-on installation. You do get two of these, what we call fish wires. And the way these work, if you've never used them, you'll simply thread this onto the bolt and then you'll use that wire and you'll fish it down through the frame tube of the vehicle to make that bolt go into the right place along with these blocks here.
And what this is doing is it's sitting inside of that frame tube on your vehicle and it's making it to where you can't twist that bolt and then you can put that nut on there. So a pretty neat as far as the installation, a nice elegant black powder coat finish all over the hitch itself. Again, you have your safety chain tie downs or whether for your hooks right here in the front on both sides. And I love how they made those super big oblong. You're gonna be able to fit shackles maybe for recovery and just some big beefy hooks in there if you so choose. Well, folks, that is gonna wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven. The only thing I would suggest is in your videos when you're explaining the product it would be nice if you would tell your customers what tools are needed to do the install. For instance the hitch I bought takes a large allen wrench to install. It's larger than most Allen wrenches that you can buy in a store so I have to go find one. It would have been nice if I had it prior to the arrival of your product

Disappointed that I had to remove the burr on the hitch pin holes so I could actually get the hitch bar in all the way. Other than that good construction, easy to install.
the installation is simple enough. the execution is less than simple. pulling wire thru the frame works great until it doesn't. One side no problem. the other the wire unraveled on the bolt and am left with incomplete job. Will have to fabricate another solution to finish this otherwise simple ez install.
