Replacement Circuit Board and Fan Motor For a MaxxAir MaxxFan 8501K

Updated 01/22/2024 | Published 01/21/2024

Question:

My maxxfan ceiling vent, model 8501K melted the circuit board and motor. I see several replacement printed circuit boards on your website but compatibility is not listed by model number but instead by an identifier that I cant find anywhere on my defective board. My serial number is 2017-06-8501K-A00189. Can you point me to the correct replacement board and lift motor on your website? Also, have you heard of anyone installing a voltage regulator on the DC input wire as I suspect fluctuations in voltage above 12.8 could be the culprit in the meltdown. Thank you.

Your MaxxAir MaxxFan model 8501K is going to use the Printed Circuit Board # MA10A21275K and Fan Motor # MA10-20968.

I have never heard of anyone using a voltage regulator to maintain the battery voltage going to the fan. Typically when you see voltages exceeding what the fan can handle it is due to a faulty power converter.
