Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the replacement printed circuit boards for your max air powered lift RV roof vents. As you can see, we've got two different boards here. These are the part numbers that you see on the screen there. Essentially, these are exactly the same thing with one small difference between them.

If you look at the circuit board, you can see they have almost all of the same components except this large black box here. This is actually going to allow you to work. Allows this board to work for your max air vents that are both exhaust and intake. So this other one that does not have that box is only going to work with your max air fans that are exhaust only. If your unit is able to bring air in as well as exhaust it out, you're going to need this one over here.If your unit is only capable of exhausting the air from inside your RV, this is the unit that you will need here.

Keep those part numbers up there for you to make sure that you are getting the right one. It's a pretty slight difference between them, but obviously it's going to have a big impact on their usability. We want to make sure that you're getting the product that you need, so just wanting to clear that up for you. Both of them are going to work with your max air power. It's just that functionality difference that you need to look out for.

We're going to make sure that you knew the difference and are going to get the right chip that is going to work for you. That is going to complete our look at the max air replacement printed circuit board. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

2 of my 3 MaxxAir fan had the green light of death. Long story short one of the replacement boards worked while the other replacement board did not fix the green death. Extremely frustrating that this needed to be done to brand new fans in the first place and I still have an issue with one of the fans. Not etrailers fault but I wouldn’t recommend a MaxxAir fan to anyone.

by:

This was a great solution for the “green light of death” on our MaxxAir Fan. It was easy to install and worked immediately. The order arrived safely and on time. The price was good value.

I had called MaxxAir and asked about getting this part to fix a flashing Green light on one of the fans that I have in my 2012 Aspect. They quoted me a price of $116.40 plus tax and shipping but they were out of stock and delivery probably would not happen for 2-3 weeks I was told. I have ordered parts from trailer.com before and had always received fair pricing, quick delivery and good customer service. I placed my order - the cost was $136.17 (about $20 more than direct from the manufacturer), Sales tax (7%) is based upon the delivery address and shipping was free from trailer.com (a savings of $9.67). So, I paid about $10 more overall than had I gone direct. However, I received the control board in just over 4 days from Utah to South Carolina and IT WORKED. My Maxx Air fax is now working properly again. I'll continue to purchase from etrailer.com. I recommend you give them a try on your next order.

Carol;
Thank you for the prompt email
regarding the circuit board replacement for my MaxxAir Roof Vent. I must say that etrailer customer service has been fantastic with regards to this item. I completely understand that the lengthy delay in obtaining the item was the fault of MaxxAir and not etrailer. Your customer service regularly kept me informed of the manufacturer's shipping progress and it was very much appreciated. Anytime in the past I have ordered from etrailer I have received excellent service and this time was no exception. Thank you and your team again for the outstanding customer service.
Sincerely,
Roman

I am NOT a happy camper! MAXXAIR roof vents are a piece of crap. Three times now I have had to replace the circuit boards and they still do not work. Correction, they work for a short while then stop. E trailer experts were great, you put me in direct contact with Maxxair and they were helpful but their productcircuit boards are simply crap. From the looks of the large number of similar complaints. I am not the only persons complaining. I would NEVER RECOMEND MAXXAIR to anyone.

I think the circuit board should not go bad after 2 years the new one cost almost half of what a whole new fan cost. But that's maxair, you guys do a great job. But But But stop putting electronics in a envelope all the little circuits where bent I'm just lucky it worked. Thank for getting it out so quick.

by:

Although I purchased this device almost a year ago, I wasn’t able to install it until recently. Unfortunately, this device developed the same fault as the one that it replaced. After just a few minutes of use, the fan stopped working, beeped loudly, and flashed its LED.

Comments
Normally, my first suggestion would be to replace the circuit board. But, since you have already done that, and you are still having issues, it sounds like you may just need to replace the whole fan. It is common for these to wear out after a while.

I would have given 5 stars but the circuit board had some damage to it and was doubtful it would work but it worked just fine.

Comments
I know that it is working for you however I am concerned that it had some damage since it is an electrical unit. I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you.

Perfect replacement. Install was no problem and it worked with the existing remote immediately. Its just a shame MaxxAir let their circuit board problems go on so long.

by:

I installed the new PC board in less than an hour. It works. I hope it continues to work. Time will tell. Maxxfan should have installed a more dependable PC board. Other Maxxfan customers have complained about the fan starting and stopping on it's own. The PC board the apparent problem with shorted circuits. Fingers crossed.

So far so good

They shipped out immediately and was exactly what I needed. They need to stop sending this in an envelope though as the pins for the connection to the fan get bent.

by:

Even though a supply train issue delayed receiving my part for 4 months, etrailer always kept me informed of the shipping status. This up level replacement MaxxAir PC board and it worked with no problems. It eliminated the so called "green light of death". Great job guys!

Fantastic Customer Service Dept!!!!!

I’m impressed and appreciative that you’re reaching out about my thoughts on my purchase, but sadly it did not solve my problem with the “green light of death”. Pinpointing the problem has been a real challenge. I’ve changed power sources (GoalZero, Jackery and lead acid) as well as adding a voltage regulator with no change. If you have any ideas on what it might be I’d be very thankful. But getting back to your question, i don’t think I can give a proper rating.

Comments
When you are experiencing the green light of death, its generally due to the fan not receiving enough voltage. However, with all of the different power sources that you have running on this fan, you should have enough to run the fan, since the fan only requires 4-amps to run on high. We recommend using a voltage meter, like part # PT89ZR
Digital Multimeter with 42" Long Test Leads - LED Display
$20.41
, and test it on the power wire to make sure that there 12v going into the fan.

Part worked as described and we had air flowing again in the RV!

by:

I really like the search engine on the website. I quickly found the circuit board for the Maxxfan that I needed. The people I dealt with were very knowledgeable and helpful.

by:

Just what I needed. It worked. Good service. Fair price.

by:

You guys have been great. I ordered this part back in June due to the supply chain problems it wasn't going to come in anytime soon. There was one gentleman that always kept we in the loop of where my part was. I am sorry I don't remember his name just a great guy. I would have no problem ordering from these guys again Thanks

by:

Worked well and solved my problem. Service and shipping were excellent.

by:

I have been looking for this part for over a year and finally found it at your website, you gave me enough information to be sure this was the right part and also great support, thanks so much

by:

it dosen't work with are remote

by:

Circuit board was delivered wrapped in bubble wrap but inside a pouch NOT a box.
Of course the pouch had a hole punctured in it. So it could be damaged??
I dont know though as my fan is now working again(intermittant failure) and Im not going to replace the board until it fails again.
As it is I do not know if the new board that arrived in a damaged package actually still works.
Sensative parts should be sent in a box.
Why does this even need to be said?

Comments
I understand your concerns about possible damage to the circuit board. I will share this with our shipping department and have customer service team reach out to you.
