Then you're in luck because I have the perfect one. For your 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500, I recommend the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Hitch item # BWGNRK1057. This system includes custom fit brackets that bolt into existing holes in your Silverado's frame. The only drilling you will need to do is in the bed when you add the holes for the receiver and the safety chains. It fits all three bed lengths of the 2017 Silverado 1500.
B&W makes some of the best products in the towing business and they are manufactured right here in the USA. The B&W item # BWGNRK1057 allows you to store the 2-5/16" hitch ball upside down and inside your bed when you are not using it. This gives you full access to your bed when you're not towing. The locking handle is easily accessible inside your driver's side rear wheel well.
I have attached an installation video below to help you get the system set up.
To make towing with a gooseneck trailer easier, I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness item # C56000. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your gooseneck trailer easier and more convenient.
