Question:
For Part Number 329-HM408, is there a way to add some type of locking mechanism to the lid? I want to use it for lithium battery on the tongue of my trailer.

The Commercial Grade Battery Box # 329-HM408 does not offer a way to lock the lid from the manufacturer. Since the box is a molded plastic it wouldn't be to difficult to add 2 Hasps # 720DPF to lock the lid in place.
We do have boxes like the TorkLift # TLA7712RS which are lockable and since it is a steel construction it would be much harder to break into than the plastic box you found.
