Hey Johnny! That definitely sounds like a PWM issue so the 12V PWM Filter for RV Backup Camera Systems # VGR64VR is the solution. This is a permanent installation on the trailer side so you don't have to worry about keeping track of an adapter like the Furrion # FR87PR.

Where are you headed next with the Flagstaff?

This should fix your problem. I have both versions. But only installed the hard wired version. Had I not installed that version I would be using the plug in type.

@JohnP I installed this and solves the camera issue. Didn’t like the 7 way power adapter. This was easy and works as long as pulling truck has lights on

@JohnP That's the way it's supposed to work otherwise the camera is on all the time. Some trailer mfg.s wire one way and others opposite.

I used the pen filter for my 24 2500 Sierra SLT. It works perfectly. I too didn’t like the idea of the trailer wiring adapter. Been using this for a couple years now with great results.

I had a 2021 silverado 1500, and the camera worked fine. Then we purchased a 2023 grand design imagine 2670mk and before we picked it up we decided to get a 2022 Silverado 2500hd. Put the furrion camera on the new camper, and nothing. I wired in the PWM filter to the camera connections, and she works great. The hardest part of wiring it in was standing on the ladder.
