Mechanic Said The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver 13315 Will Not Fit My 2016 Mazda CX-5

Question:

Hi. I need trailer hitch, ball and wiring for my 2016 Mazda cx-5. My mechanic tried to install a CURT 13315 and it didn’t fit. Your system shows a mid-year and pre-mid year ion for 2016 but the same parts seem to be listed. Your system also lists the curt 13315 as one of the options. Any idea how I can get the right part? My car has a build date of 06/2015. Thanks

I do see the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13315 fits all the Mazda CX-5's excluding diesel models from 2013 to the current 2024 model year. We do have the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76138 which does use a different mounting location but I first recommend asking your mechanic why the Curt receiver didn't fit. On rare occasions the mounting bracket can become distorted during shipping but it can be adjusted back to correctly fit.
