I would like a hitch recommendation for my 2024 Audi A4 Allroad. Do you have one available? Need it for a bike rack.

Hi Robin I have a 2023 Audi A4 Allroad. I have a 1and 1/4 inch bike rack and a small trailer with an 8 foot rowing dinghy. Which hitch do you recommend. The last one I got became pretty rusty after 1 summer. What is the difference between 111448 and 114483? Which wiring for my trailer do you recommend ? I understand so-called clamp-on types that don't require splicing may be correct? Thanks David

@DavidR since you need a 1-1/4" receiver there is only one option which is the Curt # C11448 listed above. Rust after a single summer isn't typical. I expect the powder coat on the Curt to last for a while, especially if you maintain it. The 114483 is a Curt part number that includes the hitch along with the # C45521 ball mount. You would need # C40018 for a 2" or # 19256 for a 1-7/8" hitch ball to go with the ball mount. Also yes, the Tekonsha # 119250KIT with zero contact interface sensors would be best for your vehicle for wiring.

@RobinH Thank you. Three more questions: Will this require cutting the bumper or other parts of the 2023 A4 Allroad? Might an equivalent Drawtite incur less "surgery?" Will the clamp on harness function well with Audi electronics? THANKS AGAIN. David

I misstated year of Audi A4 all road, it is 2023. Still wondering about surgery and cuts into car involved with Curt 1148 as well as whether the Tekonsha 119250kit will drive my car's electronics haywire?
