I need to add a hitch and wiring to tow a trailer with my 98 4runner. What's the best option?

The best trailer hitch and wiring for your 1998 Toyota 4Runner are the following:
- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e37KR
- T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118341
- Mounting Brackets #18144 and # 18140
I like the etrailer hitch because of the matte black finish which I've found to be more durable than the standard glossy finish on other hitches, and then the T-One wiring is the more reliable option you'll find on the market.
Then if you don't have a ball mount already I recommend checking out the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BWTS10048B because of the adjustability and the wide variety of trailers this can fit with.
