With a 5,000-lb maximum gross trailer weight and 500-lb tongue weight rating, it’s strong enough for light to moderate towing. Using weight distribution bumps those numbers to 6,000 lbs GTW and 600 lbs TW, giving you added stability when you need it. Great product well designed , i am overall happy with the product',. I had a little difficulty in putting the last bolt in',. struggled for about 9 minutes before taking the the supplied bracket back off and after visual inspection , finding there was molten material / Slag,.. that ran onto the threads of the nut , making it impossible to put the bolt in',. i removed the excess put a little threading oil and it was back on in a jiffy',. I would buy this product again',. beautiful work for a reasonable price',. !!!
Perfect fit, ez mounting. I used a floor jack and jack stands to hold it in place as I mounted it myself. It took longer to unpackage than to mount it.

Excellent hitch, fits perfect on my 1999 Toyota 4Runner! Took me and my brother about 10 minutes to put on after getting the original tow hooks and bolts off. Getting the original 1999 tow hooks off took some work! I would definitely recommend this and etrailer. Great price and quality.
The hitch receiver is solid and attaches securely. I ran into the same problem that many others have - the existing bolts were frozen in place. That's not etrailer's or anyone else's fault and it was easy to resolve that with some penetrating oil and a long breaker bar. The instructions provided were simple and clear Although the installation is usually a two-man job, I was able to do it by myself using the shipping box (cut in two, with one half atop the other, supplemented by a 2"x4") to prop up the hitch receiver in position while I screwed it into place. Saved about $70 buying from etrailer over a comparable item elsewhere online.
