Can Holes Be Drilled Into Reese Goosebox To Make It Fit Mounting Brackets When Only 3 Holes Line Up?

Question:

I bought a Reese goosebox on an auction sale and when I went to install it only three holes line up on both sides, Id like more, there is no moving it around to make the holes line up. Can I drill into the goosebox?

It appears you have a Reese Goosebox which is designed for a different set of mounting brackets. As there are several different bolt patterns used by different manufacturers you would typically always try and match the correct Goosebox to your mounting pattern. While I would never recommend drilling any holes in the pin box as it will void the warranty, this is really the only option you have to use this pin box on your trailer.
