The MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box # MR84VR weighs right at 190 pounds. Due to this, it will ship freight.

Just in case you needed, this is designed to fit 14,000 to 18,000 pound trailers with the Lippert 1621 and 1621HD pin boxes.

I have a MORryde cushioned part# RPB72-FD on my 2025 Grand Design Solitude 388mbs. I am interested in changing to a Gen-Y. It based on your information, it looks like both weigh about the same? I am trying to figure out what my weight savings will be changing over to the Gen-Y since I will be getting rid of the B&W fifth wheel hitch in my Ram 3400. So the MORryde weighs around 190ish? I think I saw that the Gen-Y weighs around 195lbs.

@ShawnG Going to a 5th wheel to gooseneck adapter will definitely save you some weight. The RPB72-F-D comes back as a Lippert Rhino Box, so there are two options available from Gen-Y: Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - 24K GTW - 4.5K TW # GY33GR (180 pounds) Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - 30K GTW - 6.5K TW # GY45GR (193 pounds) Either of these would handle the weight of your 2025 Grand Design Solitude 388MBS, but I would probably go with the lower rated # GY33GR. It's slightly lighter, matches your weight better, and is currently less expensive. Triple whammy. One thing to keep in mind is that, since this will become a gooseneck, you will also need safety chains. This is an often forgotten part when making this switch, so be sure to grab the Gen-Y 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - 84" Long Chain - 26,000 lbs # GY49GR as well. I am not sure which B&W hitch you have, but they don't really make anything that could be considered "light". I've had to move their 5th wheel hitches around quite a few times and it isn't easy. @Shawn Sorry about that Shawn. I contacted MORryde as I wasn't sure on those and they said they all weigh right at 150 pounds. I have the four different options listed below: MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box for 18K to 21K Trailers w/ Lippert Rhino # MR55QR MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box for 14K to 18K Trailers w/ Lippert Rhino # MR83QR MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box for 11K to 14K Trailers w/ Lippert Rhino # MR44HR MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box for Trailers under 11,500 w/ Lippert Rhino # MR45ER I'm not sure which one you have, but I would guess it's either the 14-18K or 18-21K.
