Does a Gen-Y Gooseneck Pin Box Add Stress to a 5th Wheel's Frame?

Question:

I have a 2021 Ram 3500 used to tow a 35 foot Montana. Would like to convert to a Gen Y Gooseneck conversion. Will this put undo stress on the frame? The big reason is to get the use of the truck bed.

The Gen-Y Hitch gooseneck pin box's like the item # GY48FR you were looking at do add some stress to the frame. Lippert excludes them from their warranties because of this. A better option would be to add a Reese Goose Box like Item # RP85FR. The Reese has been endorsed by Lippert and will not void your chassis' warranty.

Please note that the gooseneck pin boxes are specific to the bolt pattern your 5th wheel trailer has. In order to confirm which one you will need I would need to see the sticker on your Montana's pin box. It'll have an RPO, Serial, LCI number that I can use to identify what pattern you have.
