I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C93CR on your 2023 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport. This receiver is made in the USA and has a lifetime warranty.
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK89FR will give you a 4-way flat connector. This connector is most commonly found on smaller trailers and also can be used with Auxiliary Lights # C53201 on larger hitch mounted accessories. If you will be pulling larger trailers which have electric brakes you will need to add a 7-Way # ETBC7 and a brake controller. The 7-way includes the wiring needed for the brake controller as well as the charge line. I recommend using the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED52VR as it only requires a small control knob to be mounted to the dash rather than a large control box.
