I need a receiver hitch for a 2005 Toyota Tundra Double Cab with a factory receiver that Im willing to remove.

Since you're willing to remove your 2005 Tundra's factory hitch, I recommend the etrailer Hitch item # e87KR. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity that can be increased to 7,500 lbs when used with a weight distribution system.

I recommend spraying the bolts holding your current hitch on with WD-40 for a few days prior to trying to remove them. See if you can get them loosened then spray up into the threads. Old bolts like that have a tendency to break off.

The safety chain holes are well hidden on Curt trailer hitch #C13180. There is a part of the hitch above the receiver that attaches to the vehicle bumper. The holes are in that plate. I have included a picture pointing them out.
