To flat tow your 2012 Toyota Yaris you'll need the following components:
Baseplate: Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX3783. This is the only option we currently offer with the least visible components so you can still maintain a mostly factory look.
Tow Bar: etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates # e47ZR. This tow bar comes with safety cables bracketed to the arms so you won't have to purchase them separately or worry about them dragging on the ground. The head and shank have a bit of adjustability to keep the tow bar level but you'll most likely also need a high/low adapter with how low a Yaris sits so I've also attached a help article below to help walk you through measuring for one.
Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit will splice into your Yaris's tail light wiring to display your motorhome's traffic signals through the tail lights of the Yaris.
Braking System: Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524. This portable system requires a few minutes of setup each time but is minimally invasive and can be taken out and stored elsewhere when not in use, unlike fixed supplemental braking systems. The included remote will allow you to see when the brakes are being applied in the Yaris and change your brake settings while on the go instead of having to get out and walk back to the Yaris. The included charge line kit will also help keep the battery charged while you tow so you don't arrive at your destination with a dead battery.
If you'd prefer a fixed system the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 you were looking at would work as long as your Thor Tiburon doesn't have an engine brake that activates the tail lights.
