Question:
I have a 2019 RAV4 Trail with a 4 pin wiring harness. I want to tow a T@B trailer. It has a 7 pin plug. What are my options for installing the 7 pin wiring in this situation? Thank you for your help.

Since your 2019 RAV4 already has a 4-way wiring harness, you will need the Universal Installation Kit item # ETBC7. The kit includes a pre-wired 7- and 4-way trailer connector that mounts easily at the rear of your vehicle with an included bracket. This kit is designed for use on a vehicle with an existing 4-way flat trailer connector and plugs directly into it.
You will then connect the blue wire to the blue wire on the brake controller, connect the black wire to the positive post on your battery, the white wire to a suitable ground, and the yellow wire to RAV4's reverse circuit. This will provide you with the ability to control your trailer's brakes and also provide you with a 12v power wire for you trailer's accessory lights.
I have linked an installation video below.
I saw you were looking at the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller item # C51180. This brake controller does not require the blue wire ran to the cab. If you decide to go with the Echo you will want to use the item # ETBC7L instead. This will save you the blue wire step but will limit you to only using wireless controllers.
