Hello, Can your team please recommend a high weight capacity rack at least 1000lbs and tonneau cover combo for a 2016 Tundra CrewMax 5-1/2’ bed? I like the TracRack with cab extension, would that be compatible? Thanks!

Since your 2016 Toyota Tundra has the 5-1/2' bed and the deck rail system you are going to want the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack item # TH97RV. For the cab extension you will need the Cantilever Extension item # TH24001XT. There is no all in one kit available for the 5-1/2' bed trucks so you will need to purchase the two pieces separately.

Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack item # TH97RV has a 1,250 lbs capacity but the Cantilever Extension item # TH24001XT tops out at 1,000 lbs so if you're hauling something large enough to reach the extension you will want to stick to the 1,000 lbs limit.

For a compatible tonneau cover, I recommend the BAK Revolver X4s Hard Tonneau Cover item # BAK28ZR. You are going to need a cover that leaves the side rails open so you can mount the Thule SR ladder rack. That ladder rack mounts directly to the stake pockets. Additionally, the weight capacity you need requires you to use a tonneau cover like the Revolver X4. The hard top folding covers attach the ladder racks directly to the cover using T-slots which reduces the capacity to 300 lbs. If you find one that mounts inside the rails you won't be able to open the folding cover because of the angle of the ladder rack uprights.

The BAK Revolver X4s Hard Tonneau Cover item # BAK28ZR bolts to the inside of your bed with included hardware and clamps. It has a pull cable that lets you open the cover from either side of your Tundra's bed.
